Carl: John, you're also in the park.  How are you? 

          John, tu tambien estas en el parque. Como estas? 

John: Oh, Carl! I'm just okay. What about you?

           ¡Ah, Carl! Mas o menos. ¿Y tu?

Carl: I'm fine. No. I'm happy. 

          Estoy bien. No. Estoy contento. 

John: Happy? Why? 

           ¿Contento? ¿Por que? 

Carl: I have a new friend. His name is John. The color of his shirt is light blue, and it's new. 

          Tengo un amigo nuevo. Su nombre es John. El color de su camisa es azul claro, y es nueva. 

John: You're a good man, Carl. I bought it yesterday. I like the university, but I need to pass the exam. Can you help me? 

           Eres un buen hombre, Carl. La compro ayer. Me gusta la universidad, pero necesito aprobar el examen. ¿Puede ayudarme? 

Carl: Of course! What do you want to study? 

          ¡Claro! ¿Que quieres estudiar?

John: I'd like to study chemistry. Do you like it? 

           Me gustaria estudiar quimica. ¿Te gusta?

Carl: Yes. The exam is not so difficult, John. When is your exam? 

          Si. El examen no es tan dificil, John. ¿Cuando es tu examen?

John: Next month. On April 25th at 2:00 p.m. 

           El mes que viene. El venticinco de Abril a las dos de la tarde. 

Carl: John, do you read a lot of books? 

         ¿John, lees muchos libros?

John: Yes. Why?

           Si. Por que? 

Carl: I also read a lot of books. Do you watch movies with your friends? My family and I can watch movies on weekends. 

          Tambien leo muchos libros. ¿Miras las peliculas con tus amigos? Mi familia y yo podemos mirar las peliculas los fines de semana. 

John: What types of movies do you watch? 

           ¿Que tipos de peliculas miran? 

Carl: They always prefer to watch romantic films and comedies.

          Ellos siempre prefieren mirar las peliculas romanticas y las comedias. 

John: I don't always go to the movie theater. I have a television and a DVD player in my room. 

          No siempre voy al cine. Tengo un televisor y un lectur de DVD en mi habitacion. 

Carl: Who do you watch movies with? 

          Con quien miras las peliculas? 

John: In Mexico...with my friends. 

           En Mexico...con mis amigos. 

Carl: John, can you come with us this weekend? You'll meet my family. 

          John, ¿puede venir con nosotros este fin de semana? Vas a encontrar una familia.

John: Sorry, Carl. But I need to study this book this weekend. 

           Lo siento, Carl. Pero necesito estudiar este libro este fin de semana. 

Carl: No problem, John. I bought this gift for you. 

          No es problema, John. Te compro este regalo. 

John: It's nice. Do you always buy gifts for your new friends? 

          Es bonito. ¿Siempre compras regalos a tus amigos nuevos? 

Carl: Yes. I buy gifts for them. 

          Si. Les compro regalos. 

John: Thanks, Carl!

           ¡Gracias, Carl!

Carl: You're welcome. Well, welcome to our university. Let's start. 

           De nada. Bueno, bienvenido a nuestra universidad. Vamos a comenzar. 

John: Okay. 

           De acuerdo.

John: Hello, my name is John. What's your name? 

Hola, me llamo John. ¿Como se llama usted? 


Carl: My name is Carl. What are you looking for? 

Me llamo Carl. ¿Que busca? 


John: I'm a Mexican. I'm looking for a new friend. 

Soy Mexicano. Busco un amigo nuevo. 


Carl: Oh! That's not a problem. Where's your family? 

¡Ah! No es problema. ¿Donde esta tu familia? 


John: My mom and two brothers are in Mexico, but my dad works in a bank here. 

Mi madre y dos hermanos estan en Mexico, pero mi padre trabaja en un banco aqui. 


Carl: Well, I have two brothers and three sisters. I'm also studying in a university in the city. 

Bueno, tengo dos hermanos y tres hermanas. Estudio en una universidad en la ciudad tambien.


John: I would like to study engineering. Can you tell me where your university is? 

Quisiera estudiar ingeniera. ¿Puede decirme donde esta tu universidad? 


Carl: Next to the shopping mall. I like Math, too, but I'm studying languages. 

Al lado del centro commercial. Me gusta las matematicas tambiem, pero estudio los idiomas.


John: Do you understand Spanish very well?  

¿Entiendo usted el español muy bien?


Carl: Yes. I love Spanish. 

Si. Me encanta el español. 


John: That's great! Do you have a phone number?

¡Que bueno! ¿Tiene numero de telefono? 


Carl: Yes. It's 543445

Si. Es 543445. 


John: Thanks, Carl. I'll call you tomorrow.

Gracias, Carl. Te llamo mañana.


Carl: You're welcome, my friend.

Spanish Message:


Buenas tardes, mis amigos! Como estan ustedes hoy?  Hoy es Sabado, pwes hablan con Jesus mas tarde a las seis en punto de la noche. Siempre quiero hacerlo con ustedes. 

Estoy estudiando Español en nuestra casa esta tarde. Y haceran algo ahora tambien. Pero, hablan con Jesus mas tarde en nuestras habitaciones. Es para nosostos. El siempre eschucha a nosotros. Van a hacerlo conmigo? =) 

 Los quiero, mis amigos! 


Translation:

Good afternoon, my friends! How are you all today? Today is Saturday, so we'll talk with Jesus later at exactly six o'clock in the evening. I always want to do it with all of you. 

I'm studying Spanish at our home this afternoon.  And you might also be doing something right now. But we'll talk with Jesus later in our rooms. It's for us. He always listens to us. Are you all going to do it with me? =) 

I love you all, my friends.
